Somba country

Around Natitingou, the Betammaribè have built the tata somba for centuries: multi-storey fortress houses in banco with granaries and turrets. Visits are made with local guides, respecting the families who still live there.

  • Allow 6–7 h drive Cotonou–Natitingou: break it up via Dassa
